Hello friend! I’m Kristen and I am the Owner of Teszeract Salon! I opened Teszeract in January of 2018 with hopes of creating the salon I was always looking for as a stylist and a client. Something modern and clean with a touch of weird and alternative. I wanted a space that felt professional and put together but also creative and artsy. Combining two worlds that otherwise felt hard to find.

Teszeract Salon is a space for independent artists who enjoy being surrounded by other artists for collaboration and inspiration. It is a safe space for clients and stylists to explore their individuality with self expressive hair. We have an open floor plan with tons of space to spread out and create. Room to get a little messy. When I was little and wanted to create I would have all my colors, markers, glue and anything else I might need spread all around me while I was crafting. I also loved looking at other people’s art for inspiration. I loved seeing other people’s work in art class and thinking “wow, that’s so different!.” Of course now the medium of choice is hair, but I love to have lots of space to create and to be surrounded by inspiration. An artist can’t thrive in a vaccum.

My vision wasn’t just about collaboration and creating messes though. Doing hair is a passion as well as a career so a lot more went into the design of the space for functionality fitting the stylist, their guests, and continued education.
